Family Wedding at RiverMist

Family weddings are the just sweetest. There is so much excitement when young children are involved in a wedding ceremony. And what a wonderful way for Natasha and Jason to start their married life.
Natasha is accompanied by her lovely flower girls.
Holding hands. A perfect start.
We included the Ceremony of the Red Thread for Jason and Natasha's wedding.
According to this legend, at birth the gods tie an invisible silken red thread around the ankles of a man and a woman destined to be husband and wife. As the years pass, the thread grows shorter and shorter, until finally they are united.
The red cord was tied around their ring fingers as Jason and Natasha made their vows.
 The cord was removed.
And replaced with a wedding ring encircled with red band.
Natasha and Jason made special promises to their children.
The girls received a necklace, a symbolic reminder of the promises made.
 Family Circle.
It's true.... One Big Happy Family.
More kissing, oh no!!
Jason is a lucky man. Three women to love.
No doubt who is the favorite.
 And always will be.

True Love Finds Carmen and David

Carmen and David wanted a candlelight ceremony. October was the perfect month.
Tonight you are declaring to each other you will be by each other side,
no matter what life brings your way.

Carmen, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love,
and my choice to share my life and dreams with you,
I give you this ring with the pledge to love you
today, tomorrow, and always.
And now, bringing with you all the joys of your yesterdays
and the promise of all your tomorrows
will you now join your candles together as one.
Can't you just feel Carmen's happiness.
Happily Ever After
And Carmen will make it so!
So what's next..... everything. Most of all happiness!

A Destiny of Souls - Virginia and Todd Are Married

Destiny is a mysterious thing. No matter what you do or where you go, you can’t avoid it. And, no matter how hard you try, even putting forth your greatest effort, you can’t force it to happen before its time. Virginia and Todd's wedding was a celebration of the destiny of two souls.
My Love--Linda Lee Elrod
When I met you, I had no idea how much my life was about to be changed..
but then, how could I have known?

A love like ours happens once in a lifetime.
You were a miracle to me,
the one who was everything I had ever dreamed of,
the one I thought existed only in my imagination.

And when you came into my life,
I realized that what I had always thought was happiness
couldn't compare to the joy loving you brought me.

You are a part of everything I think and do and feel,
and with you by my side, I believe that anything is possible.
(this day) gives me a chance to thank you for the miracle of you...
you are, and always will be, the love of my life.
Almighty God, bless these rings, symbols of faithfulness and unbroken love. May Todd and Virginia always be true to each other, may they be one in heart and mind, may they be united in love forever.
One quick photo with the newlyweds.
Many happy times ahead for the new Mr. and Mrs.

NGubia and Damian Marry at RiverMIst

Damian and NGubia will have a traditional marriage ceremony in her home country during the summer of 2016. However they will always remember the start of their married life at RiverMist.
Damian waiting patiently for his Bride.
And here is the lovely, NGubia.
NGubia, the man who stands by your side is about to become your husband. He will look to you for gentleness, support, for understanding, for encouragement and protection. So I ask, do you, NGubia take Damian to be your beloved husband – to live together after God’s ordinance – in the holy estate of matrimony?
We ask your blessings for Damian and NGubia.
May they be kind in their words, considerate of feelings,
and concerned for each others needs and wishes.
Always time for a first dance.

Fall wedding in North Carolina

The weather is normally wonderful for a September wedding. Seema and Jason will most definitely agree. It was a perfect day to begin their married life.
Yes, it's true. Soon to be husband and wife.
As you place these rings on each others fingers, you are taking responsibility for the success of your marriage, acknowledging that the future of your marriage is in your hands and in your hearts.
I give you this ring as a reminder
that I will always love, honor and cherish you.
Just like this ring, my love for you has no end.
So happy to show off the new rings.
Time alone to savor the moment.
 And the adventure continues.

Stormy and Paul Marry at RiverMist

Dusk. What a wonderful time to marry. Just ask Stormy and Paul.
What you don't see. They are surrounded by the people who love them most. But more on that later.
Exchanging rings, the physical 'binding' part of a wedding ceremony. Many think this is the moment you become husband and wife.
Unity Sand. A nice way to honor the merging of lives.
And now about their guests. Each person was given a small polished stone to hold in their hand during the ceremony. Before the formal 'pronouncement' each person came forward and gave their 'blessing stone' to the happy couple, offering congratulations and words of wisdom. The stones are now displayed in their home, reminding the happy couple of everyone present on their wedding day.
After lots of hugs and kisses. It was time for THE kiss.
And now the guests.
Wedding cake coming up.
And time to celebrate. Cheers!!
Happy times ahead for these two.

Stephen and Aimee are Married.

Getting ready for Aimee and Stephen's wedding. Family wedding. Fun times.
While the bride is getting ready I pin on the boutonniere.
Here comes the bride. And her lovely maid of honor.
We have gathered today in the presence of God, to acknowledge the decisions of these two people, Stephen and Aimee, to share their love in the relationship of marriage. They bring individual strengths, wisdom and personalities and today they commit themselves to a life together as husband and wife.
Bless these rings, symbols of faithfulness and unbroken love. May Stephen and Aimee always be true to each other, may they be one in heart and mind, may they be united in love forever.
 Rings exchanged.
Time to dance.
Never too old for bubbles.
 Checking out the ring.
Smiles and sign say it all.
