Amanda and JP Marry at Gray Stone Pines

On first glance you might think this is an old barn. But if you look closely you will soon realize it is a perfect venue for a rustic wedding.

A nearby tent was set up for the reception area.

When I arrived everyone was congratulating the handsome groom, JP.

Abbey and Jason are Married!

Guess what has this happy man's attention.

And what does he do??? Starts kissing her while the processional is still playing.

After the hugging and kissing we started the ceremony.

Jason could not take his eyes off of Abbey.

Wedding at Bost Grist Mill

When planning their wedding April and Aaron knew exactly where they wanted the ceremony to take place.

A grist mill may seem like an unlikely place for a wedding venue but this was the perfect spot for their outdoor rustic wedding.

April is quite skilled in decorating and put this talent to good use decorating the reception area.

Kelly and Marquis are Married!

You never know about our weather and our bride was a little concerned. As it turns out, Saturday was a great day for a winter wedding. A little cool, but it IS the end of January.

Family and friends wait for Kelly to appear.

And here she is, escorted by her son, Dustin, with Mya, holding her train.

Kelly was smart and planned ahead. She wore a lovely jacket for the ceremony.

Then removed it for photos.

Kelly and Marquis were not new to this love. 

But this was their wedding day, time for making public promises.

Shhhh. Private wedding in North Carolina

What a wonderful day Friday was.

Thirty-five years in the making. Yes, 35 years! This lovely couple has been through good times and bad times. And in their hearts they have been 'married' for many years. No need to make changes.

Then life circumstances reminded them that time was passing quickly and it was time. Time for a new beginning, a beginning as a married couple. (and the planned vacation would make a perfect honeymoon!) Lucky for me... I was able to be part of their special day.

With work and children and life it was hard to find time to plan a wedding.
So these two decided to slip away for a quiet ceremony.
